See What a Wedding at the Intercontinental Really Looks Like

As a wedding videographer with over 18 years of experience, I’ve filmed celebrations at some of the most beautiful venues across Australia. Few give me as much to work with behind the camera as the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort on the Gold Coast.

The coordinators at the resort have been recommending me for over a decade, and I’ve captured over 120 weddings here during my career.

Meghan & Kieran’s Highlight Film

I filmed Megan and Kieran’s wedding at Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove this past March — from getting ready at the resort, through their ceremony in the resort’s glass chapel, to their reception at The Grange.

Using their heartfelt vows and speeches from family and friends, I wove together a story-driven short film capturing the whole day.

Video Tour of The Glass Chapel

The Glass Chapel is one of the most recognisable ceremony spaces on the Gold Coast, and it’s easy to see why. Floor-to-ceiling glass looks out over the Coomera River, so the room fills with natural light and the gardens outside become part of the backdrop.

For filming, it’s a dream — the mezzanine level gives a clean high angle over the whole ceremony without getting in anyone’s way, and the acoustics are genuinely excellent, so vows come through clearly on camera without needing much intervention.

Maid of Honor Speech from The Grange

When Ellie stood up as maid of honor at her sister Isabelle’s wedding, she delivered the perfect mix of laughter, heartfelt memories, and a loving roast that had the entire room smiling.

Growing up near InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, Isabelle and Ellie always dreamed that one day a wedding would take place at this special place. Years later, that dream became a reality as Ellie celebrated her sister’s journey, shared childhood stories, teased Isabelle about being “the favourite child,” and welcomed her new American-born brother-in-law Teagan into their Aussie family — sharks, jellyfish, and all.

Funny Best Man Speech from The Grange

Cillian’s best man speech was the perfect balance of humour, friendship and genuine emotion. Celebrating his lifelong friendship with Kieran, he had guests laughing with hilarious stories, perfectly timed jokes and a heartfelt reminder of what makes their bond so special.
