Eighteen years. Over 800 weddings. I’ve spent almost two decades learning the same lesson: the best wedding films aren’t staged, they’re captured. They happen when a couple forgets the camera is even there.

That’s the space I try to create. Your day belongs to your family and friends, the people who came to witness it, not to a film crew. So I stay out of the way, moving quietly through the day, watching for the moments that actually mean something: a glance, a shaky voice during vows, the way the room feels when you walk in. The result is something honest, timeless, and unmistakably yours.

I’ve filmed weddings from intimate Gold Coast elopements to grand celebrations around the world, from a castle in Scotland and a vineyard in Tuscany to Hawaii, Fiji, New York and New Zealand. Along the way I’ve had the privilege of filming weddings for surf icon Bethany Hamilton and Australian rugby league legend Wally Lewis.

No matter where the wedding is, my approach never changes. I believe the best films come from real moments, so I work in a way that lets you relax, enjoy the day and simply be yourselves.

Absolutely. Even though I consider each enquiry on its own merit, I typically save weekday dates for elopements and weekends for bigger celebrations.

Yes. I love combining travel with my passion for wedding videography. Over the years, I’ve filmed weddings in the USA, Italy, Scotland, Fiji, and New Zealand — including a few high-profile celebrations along the way.

I was married in Wanaka myself, and I currently offer a special rate for couples planning a destination wedding or elopement in the Queenstown and Wanaka region of New Zealand.

If your wedding or elopement is within 90 minutes of the Gold Coast, I do not charge extra for travel. Outside of that, travel costs are dependent on where your event is taking place.

My booking process is straightforward and completely digital. Once you verbally confirm you’d like to book, I’ll send an online agreement to both you and your partner’s email addresses for digital signatures.

Once signed, a 25% initial payment secures your date.

Simple, paperless, and done.

One thing you should know is that I provide your entire ceremony, from start to finish, in a real-time video, plus a separate video of all your reception formalities.

It’s old school, but then again, so am I. From what I’ve heard, many videographers don’t offer this anymore. My couples and their families love having these videos, and I believe they become more valuable over time.

My approach is all about candid, natural storytelling, capturing authentic moments without staging or direction.

During the ceremony and speeches, I use long telephoto lenses to stay discreetly in the background, minimizing any sense of intrusion.

This not only helps you relax and be fully present but also ensures family and friends can witness your vows and toasts without distraction from me.

For Gold Coast wedding videographers, peak wedding season (March to May, August to October) books up quickly. I recommend reaching out 12-18 months in advance for weekend dates during these popular months.

However, I often have availability for weekday weddings and off-peak dates with shorter notice. If your wedding is coming up soon, don’t hesitate to get in touch. I may still have your date available.
